FAQs
General
Spurr is a mobile app that helps you to find and join activities that are happening around you right now.
Most commonly found on Spurr are sports activities, like; run clubs, bike rides, fitness classes etc.
But the beauty of Spurr is that you can host any activity yourself. We've seen users host; gallery trips, hobby meet-ups, baby groups and more!
Spurr is coming soon to the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. We will be launching in Amsterdam where you can expect to find lots of activities!
Spurr relies on a supply of high-quality activities to make the joiner experience valuable. Spurr is therefore launching one city at a time to ensure a great experience for joiners and hosts.
We are launching in Amsterdam first. We will pick where to launch next based on interest, so get in contact if you’d like to see Spurr launched in your city!
Send an email to kianbryan@gmail.com and we will process the deletion of your Spurr account and all associated user data.
See our privacy policy (specifically the "Delete your personal data" section) for more details.
Joiners
I joined an event but can no longer go - what do I do?
Please navigate to the activity in “My activities” and click cancel registration. This way, the host knows to not expect you. You also keep you joined activity data accurate.
Hosts
I want to charge for people to join my activities - how would this work?
Spurr currently does not support in-app payments. If you would like to charge for attendance to your activity, please state this clearly in the activity description and facilitate the transaction outside of Spurr.
Someone who signed up for my activity hasn’t turned up - what do I do?
First things first, send them a message in the activity chat - perhaps they are just running late or are a bit lost.
If the activity ends and the joiner didn’t turn up, please mark them as a no-show (feature being built now!). You will be able to do this by going to My Activities, opening the relevant activity, finding the relevant joiner and clicking no-show. Doing this encourages a more honest platform and helps your fellow hosts to avoiding having to deal with unreliable joiners.
